Can't score and can't defend.....not a good combination.

The Jets were 20-11-2 before The Svech.

They're 5-10-2 since then.

I honestly feel bad for Maurice here.

Like, he did what he could to salvage a crippled roster and get them off to a good start, but with even more injuries now the whole thing has fallen apart.

Doesn't help that you guys lost your top 2 defensemen this summer and replaced them with.... Pionk? good christ.

I think your bolded statement is about as accurate as any.

We are still picking at 13 so we need to move closer to top. Should be playing Harkins, Ves, Gustafson, and any other prospect from now to the end of the year. Get Berdin up for a few games and get these players some NHL experience.

Might as well play these prospects and see what you have. Move up the draft lottery chain.

Right now, according to the NHL mock draft, Wpg is picking Jan Mysak at 13, 6 0 176 centre.

Interesting that goalie Yaroslav Askarov is currently ranked #12. Ht/Wt:6' 3"/163 lbs, Ska-Varyagi (MHL)

Just a question for the masses, what happens if during the draft you land at #12 and this goalie is available, do you take him despite needing to fill holes like centre and D? Just a question for the masses.

It's funny how according to NHL pundants the Jets had the deepest talent pool 2 years ago, but now they would rather pick up waiver wire fringe players that other teams don't want instead of promoting their draft and develop kids and letting them learn in NHL games. Obviously Maurice doesn't trust them or he can't coach them. If Chevy doesn;t fire Maurice soon he won't renew his contract at the end of the season.

We actually have a lot of D in the system but you can not predict how fast they make the NHL. Chevy did want Samberg this year but he said no. 1290 reported chevy offered more money to Gardiner but he choose Carolina. They also reported he offered Carolina a deal for Faulk. It was also reported when the jets have asked about top 4 D the ask has been Ehlers plus!!! Ehlers plus!!! That’s crazy. Glad he hasn’t pulled the trigger

More excuses is all i'm reading. Chevy had less than a million in cap space so where was he getting the cap space for Gardiner? Sure laugh at trading Ehlers for Faulk but then Carolina settled for Edmundson, Bokk and a 7th rounder. You telling me he couldn't offer something better than that?

Bokk has 6 goals in 5 games in the SHL since finding his confidence again at the World Juniors.

If' I'm GM at draft and the goalie is available, I still draft the best C or D available. We've got Connor for a few years yet, need that D or C ASAP.

What's so ignorant about it? I remember Chevy saying in the first year this franchise moved here that the Jets would never have to rely on trades or free agency as we would always have capable players in the minors that would be ready to take spots on the big roster. He has failed to live up to what he said. He still has not found suitable replacements for Wheeler, Little and Byfuglien and the franchise has been here for 9 years!
